Geranium sylvaticum 'Hilary'
Height x Spread: 45cm x 60cm
Sprays of delicate, pale pink saucer-shaped flowers with pale purple veining appear above knolls of mid-green divided foliage.
An unusual colour form for a 'wood cranesbill', this tough perennial is very useful for planting beneath roses or deciduous shrubs, its flowers helping to illuminate shadier areas. It can also tolerate full sun and would enhance any cottage garden. Bees love it. It grows best in any fairly fertile soil that is damp, but not too damp. It prefers part shade but can tolerate shade or full sun.
A Hardy's introduction, it was named after our very own nursery manager.
