Geranium versicolor
Height x Spread: 50cm x 60cm
Widely known as the 'Pencilled Geranium', small trumpet-shaped white flowers with lace-like dark pink veining gently stud compact mounds of mid-green foliage. Plant it to attract insect pollinators.
A gentle self-seeder, this semi-evergreen plant is naturally found in hedges and roadsides in England. An excellent plant for dry shade, it looks charming planted beneath deciduous trees and shrubs, illuminating more somber areas. Easy to grow, it works well as ground cover, keeping the weeds down. Undemanding, this plant will tolerate any fairly fertile soil that is not waterlogged. It can be planted in sun to shade.
