Helenium 'Mahagoni'

'Mahagoni' has dark, burnt orange daisy-like flowers with brown cone centres, each petal is tipped with yellow. Flowering in late summer this is the perfect perennial to add warmth to a mixed border or to plant in large drifts within a herbaceous border - it will look equally at home in a small cottage garden.
Beloved by bees and butterflies Heleniums which are commonly known as Sneezeweed grow best in moisture-retentive yet free-draining soil in full sun. To prolong flowering of the copper-orange blooms keep deadheading, plants can be divided during autumn.
