Hosta 'Devon Green'
Height x Spread: 45cm x 45cm
There is something rather charming about Hosta 'Devon Green's' neat, orderly form. With regular glossy deep green ribbed leaves and pale purple flowers in midsummer, it even dies back tidily, the whole plant glowing straw yellow in autumn. Its parentage as a sport of H. 'Halcyon' is clear when both are seen together, the major difference being the foliage colour dark green against blue-green, which by the way look delicious planted together.
A fabulous foliage plant for a shady container contrasted with ferns, Epimedium and Pachysandra, it looks amazing too planted in drifts through a woodland or edging a path through a shadowy part of the garden. Like other Hosta it thrives in a slightly moist but reasonable soil.
Plants are supplied in 2L pots.
