Hylotelephium cauticola 'Lidakense'
Height x Spread: 15cm x 30cm
Dark red flowers like tiny stars, are carried in clusters at the ends of short stems above rounded succulent blue green leaves. Flowering from late summer into early autumn, 'stonecrop' thrives in poor, well drained soil in full sun.
This ankle-high alpine 'stonecrop' makes an excellent rock garden or trough plant with its prolific and delicate flowers framed to perfection. Its dense mat of spreading flowers and foliage also looks delightful edging a path, or at the very front of a sunny, well drained border, helping to suppress weeds. Tough and hardy, once it is established it can tolerate periods of drought.
