Iris 'Caesar's Brother' (Sib)
Height x Spread: 120cm x 60cm
'Caesar's Brother' is a Sibirica Iris, a clump-forming rhizomatous perennial with narrow, bright green grass-like foliage above which tall stems bear blue flowers with speckled and striped throats, during early summer.
Happy in any reasonably good, moisture-retentive but not waterlogged soil in sun or part shade these Iris look fabulous planted in drifts alongside streams or ponds, combine them with Trollius or the moisture loving Primula japonica. They look equally at home within a cottage garden or town garden setting. You can divide these Iris in late summer or autumn, this is worth doing every few years to reinvigorate the plant.
