Shade tolerant plants are among the most delightful and intriguing plants in the garden and this is no exception, with its delicate display of tiny pale green cup flowers with black centres dotted along willowy green stems above mounds of lush gently scalloped foliage.  

Ever-so pretty, the flowers appear in late summer but the evergreen foliage adds texture and interest within the garden all the year round, contrasting beautifully with ferns such as Onoclea sensibilis.  Naturally found in damp forests, woods and meadows in north america, it loves a damp heavy soil such as clay in deep shade.  Perfect for lining a path or planting in drifts through your own woodland garden.
