Tall spikes full of numerous tiny pale lilac flowers with an aromatic scent appears above blue green foliage. This foliage contrasts well with the flowers and it's dark stems.
This perennial is best in the middle to back of a border for summer interest. It will tolerate part shade, in any reasonable soil, although it will grow in heavier soils making it a useful addition.
