Paeonia anomala subsp. veitchii
Height x Spread: 45cm x 45cm
Flowering from late spring though into early summer P. anomala subs. veitchii produces single flowers in shades of light to dark pink with a yellow centre. The flowers stand out above the foliage, the contrast between the green of the leaves and the pink flowers is very gentle but pops.
This Paeonia is happy planted in either full sun or part shade. It's ideal for a woodland garden with dappled shade, its relaxed structure lends itself to use in informal planting schemes - combine with Leucanthemum vulgare ‘Maikonigin’, Achillea ptarmica ‘The Pearl’, Achillea ‘Lachsschonheit’ and Geum 'Lisanne'.
To thrive make sure it's in a sheltered position and planted in fertile, moist but well-drained soil.
Harmful if eaten.
