Paeonia 'Buckeye Belle'
Height x Spread: 70cm x 60cm
Maroon-red, anemone-centred flowers appear during early summer. Golden stamens look absolutely stunning set against the deep red petals. 'Buckeye Belle' is an American hybrid bred in 1956 by Walter Mains. Gorgeous green upright foliage lasts until the autumn, glimmering under the sunlight. It received the American Peony Society Award in 2009.
A superb perennial for your beds and borders and a fabulous cut flower. Pick a position in the full sun with a reasonably good soil. When planting Paeonia make sure that you don't plant them too deeply as this will inhibit their flowering.
Paeonia can be extremely harmful if consumed.
