Phlox paniculata 'Prince of Orange'
Height x Spread: 80cm x 50cm
'Prince of Orange' is known for its unusual flower hue, sporting clusters of dark coral pink flowers each with a deep pink eye over clumps of mid green foliage. Flowering from July through to early September, it is perfect for solving the 'August slump' that many gardens can suffer from, injecting colour and a sweet scent at a time when many earlier flowering plants have faded and the autumnal wave is yet to start.
Although an established cottage garden stalwart, its smart upright appearance would enhance any urban or courtyard garden. Make space for it in your cutting garden too as its blooms last well in water. This veritable bee magnet thrives in a fertile, reasonable soil in the sun or part shade.
