Penstemon 'Sour Grapes'
Height x Spread: 60cm x 60cm
The colour of the two-lipped tubular flowers are an intriguing blend of purples and blues; the pure white throat has streaks of purple. 'Sour Grapes' buds are appropriately held in bunches. Luscious green lance-shaped foliage covers the upright stems which bear stunning blooms throughout the summer.
Penstemon perform at their best when planted in full sun or dappled shade. They favour a fertile, well-drained but moisture-retentive soil. Softwood cuttings can be taken during early spring. Ensure that you cut back this Penstemon after the last of the spring frosts.
