Commonly known as Balearic Island Sage. It is an evergreen bushy shrub with soft sage-like silver-green foliage covering tall upright stems. Whorls of double-lipped light pink flowers bloom throughout the summer.
Sheltered sunny situations with well-drained soils are best for Phlomis italica, which thrives south-facing borders; it is drought tolerant once established. Sandy soils are preferable to clay soils for this plant.
