Physostegia virginiana 'Alba'

Physostegia have narrow lance-shaped pale green leaves with serrated margins. The upright stems of 'Alba' bear spikes of tiny two-lipped pure white flowers during early summer. The Obedient Plant acquired its common name because If you hold an individual flower and turn it on the stem it will obediently stay in place.
Thriving in moisture retentive soils in partial shade situations. 'Alba' would really brighten up that damp shady spot in your borders. It is perfect for white borders, alongside watercourses and in boggy situations. In the autumn you should cut the plant back to ground level.
