Lungworts often form a delightful mound of attractive foliage and 'Opal' is no exception, it has bright silver markings on the dark green leaves. Delicate two tone lilac bell-shaped flowers appear during spring.
Light or dappled shade are the preferred situations for this perennial. It will thrive in humus-rich, moisture retentive soils. Pulmonarias are ideally suited for underplanting trees and shrubs as well as being great plants to use within woodland settings. A brilliant ground cover plant which can also be used for edging borders and walkways.
