Saxifraga 'Wada' (fortunei)
Height x Spread: 50cm x 50cm
Sought after for its airy white flowers in autumn that float on reddish brown stems above a mat of lobed green leaves with rusty undersides, this is one of those plants that every gardener should know about due to its preference for shade, even coping with deep shade.
Striking and floriferous it would look stunning planted through a woodland garden, perhaps edging an informal path, or combined with purple leaved Actaea in a north facing planter or bed. Hardy and reliable, it thrives in a damp, humus rich soil with some drainage.
