Salvia sclarea var. turkestaniana 'Vatican Pink'
Height x Spread: 100cm x 60cm
One to catch the eye in the garden and attract interest, 'Vatican Pink' is known for the bold branching spikes of pink and white flowers that it produces in its second growing season which rise from a rosette of large aromatic grey green leaves.
Perfect for adding drama and vertical punctuation to a gravel garden or hot, sunny, free draining border, make room for it too in your cutting garden as it cuts well for arrangements. Alternatively combine it with ornamental grasses such as Stipa tenuissima or and the soft grey-green foliage of Pseudodictamnus mediterraneus to provide summer long interest. Although biennial, it will self-seed freely. Pollinators love it.
