Thalictrum pubescens
Height x Spread: 150cm x 60cm
Thalictrum pubescens is a fantastic plant for adding transparency and layering to a garden, currently very on trend. In midsummer for weeks on end it produces masses of small fluffy white flowers held high in clusters on divided stems over clumps of fresh green aquilegia-like foliage.
Naturally found in north east america growing in fertile, damp soil in partial shade, it is the perfect choice for adding height and a fine veil of illumination to a damp meadow or bog garden planting scheme. It can cope with sun too, but only if planted in soil that does not dry out. Site away from strong winds to avoid it being bowled over.
