Echinacea 'Tomato Soup'PBR
Height x Spread: 80cm x 50cm
As its name suggests, the petals of this recently introduced Echinacea are a delicious tomato orange fading with age to soft apricot, all set off neatly by a rusty copper cone.
Strong growing and with large, distinctive blooms, the resulting display is quite stunning lasting with regular deadheading from mid summer into early autumn. Give in to the temptation to cut fresh flowers too as they last well in arrangements. An obvious shoe-in for a 'hot' themed planting scheme, mix them with purples, blues, oranges and pale pinks for eye-catching combinations. They thrive in a good soil with some moisture and drainage in full sun.
Available for Mail Order from April - September
