Trachystemon orientalis

This is a vigorous, fast growing herbaceous perennial and makes ideal ground cover in shady areas. It is also happy in full sun.
Trachystemon is easy to grow being happy in any soil type or pH. It has coarse, heart shaped leaves and in spring produces blue and white Borage style flowers which are loved by bees. Heat and drought tolerant, once established it can cope with most conditions except waterlogging. Spreading via rhizomes, this plant can overwhelm less assertive plants.
Ideal for use in wildlife, informal, cottage and woodland gardens. Excellent ground cover with no pruning required
