Description
Trifolium rubens 'Red Feathers'
Height x Spread: 50cm x 50cm
Trifoliate, clover shaped leaves are mid-green in colour. Rounded silvery buds open to flowerheads that look like feathery candles of burgundy red blooms, during early summer. This perennial belongs to the same genus as clover.
A great under-plant for shrubs and roses or simply for the middle-front of your border. Happiest when planted on a sunny site and in a moist but well-drained, fertile soil. It is a fantastic bee attractant, making it the perfect choice for wildlife gardens. If happy the plant may produce two flushes of flowers.
