Verbascum (Cotswold Group) 'Cotswold Queen'

Verbascum 'Cotswold Queen' has bright yellow flowers each with a gorgeous purple eye and purple stamens, in early summer. Pale green broad ovate leaves form basal rosettes below the tall flower spikes.
Verbascum, commonly known as Mullein is a short lived perennial with an upright habit, it can cope in any reasonable soil providing it is well-drained and has an alkaline pH. Propagate through root cuttings during winter. Gravel gardens are ideal for 'Cotswold Queen'. For best results plant in a sunny position.
