Veronica longifolia is commonly known as the Tall Speedwell and the cultivar 'Charlotte' is a compact perennial, which produces a cluster of stems. Beautiful green lance-shaped leaves have a white margin. Slender flower spikes are clad with white flower buds which burst open to reveal pure white flowers, during summer.

Treat this perennial like a Penstemon by removing the first flowers to encourage flowering further down the stem. Any reasonable soil in a sunny or partially shady location is ideal for this perennial. This Veronica is fantastic at attracting butterflies making it well suited to wildlife gardens.
