Veronicastrum virginicum 'Apollo'

'Apollo's flower spikes have bright green buds which blast open to reveal lilac blue flowers during late summer and autumn. Whorls of lance-shaped green foliage cover the tall erect stems of this Veronicastrum .
'Apollo' is not too fussy, any good soil suits, providing it's not too dry. It is superb for adding height to your borders, giving some architectural structure. It is ideal for wildlife gardens too, pollinators just love this plant. Veronicastrum, commonly known as Culver's Root, can be divided in spring.
