Veronicastrum virginicum 'Fascination'
Height x Spread: 140cm x 100cm
During late summer 'Fascination' produces tall, lilac flower spikes, often these maybe strangely fasciated or flattened in appearance, this is quite normal for this cultivar, the blooms attract masses of pollinators. The tall, erect stems have whorls of green, laceolate shaped leaves with toothed margins.
Adding height into a border is key, and Veronicastrum viginicum, commonly known as Culver's Root, is the ideal plant for the job. 'Fascination' is happy growing in sun or partial shade providing the soil is reasonably good. When the clumps become too large they can be divided during the spring.
