Woodland gardens make the perfect setting for this perennial violet which flourishes in partial shade and humus-rich soil. The rose-pink flowers look sublime as edging for walkways and borders. Slopes look fantastic when covered in a variety of violets. And of course a small posy of fragrant violets picked in the middle of winter is beautiful.
