Viola 'Avril Lawson' (Va)

'Avril Lawson' has heart-shaped foliage, which creates a sublime carpet of green beneath the gorgeous dark purple blooms, which appear during the summer months. Deadheading the blooms as they fade will help prolong the flowering season. 

These fragrant flowers are often used as underplanting for roses or to edge beds, borders and walkways. They make excellent ground cover. Happy in any reasonably good soil, in sun or partial shade.
