Allium wallichii
Height x Spread: 30 - 90cm x 10cm
This sun loving Allium flowers in August and September, its attractive star-like purple flowers held in loose, spherical umbels each up to 7cm across. Best when grown in a free-draining soil with good drainage - if the conditions are right this allium may self seed. It combines beautifully with so many garden colours, go bold and mix it with oranges and blues for a vibrant vibe, or plant it with whites and pinks for that classic country garden look.
