Ranunculus prietoi 'Moonlight'
Height x Spread: 40cm x 30cm
A truly delightful buttercup flowering in spring, with dainty pale lemon-yellow single flowers highlighted with a green eye, held on slender stems over tufts of narrow grass-like grey-green foliage.
This hard to find hybrid cross between Ranunculus amplexicaulis and R. gramineus 'Pardal' prefers a well-drained soil in full sun. Its delicate looks belie its toughness, as it is very hardy and can withstand temperatures colder than -20 degrees centigrade. Perfect for a rock garden or alpine trough, it also looks stunning planted in drifts through a gravel garden. Make sure you plant it where you can see it at dusk, when the soft lemon shines out of the gloom - exquisite.
