Chrysanthemum 'Early Yellow'

Height x spread: 80cm x 60cm

Sprays of single, yellow daisy shaped blooms with dark yellow centres appear from August to November. The leaves of this woody based, hardy perennial are deep green and aromatic. 

Best in a sheltered sunny spot on either a well-drained or moist but well drained soil, this herbaceous perennial is loved by bees and other pollinators but rarely noticed by deer and rabbits. 

Stake plants if necessary. When flowering finishes cut the plant back to approx. 20cm This will ensure a strong bushy plant for the following year and will protect any new shoots emerging from the base.

In exposed areas give this plant an organic mulch in Autumn to protect new growth from being damaged by frost.

The flower laden stems are great for flower arranging.
