Hydrangea quercifolia Ice Crystal ('Hqopr010'PBR)
Height x Spread: 180cm x 180cm
Large cone-shaped clusters of icy white flowers appear from midsummer through to autumn above serrated green foliage. Bred for compactness and smaller spaces, this recently introduced shrub is much sought after for its unusual foliage and size of flower.
Great in woodland schemes, it also packs a punch at the back of a mixed border, delivering interest far into autumn when its oak-shaped leaves turn stunning shades of deep red, purple and plum. 'Ice Crystal' grows best in a moist but free draining soil, in sun or partial shade.
