'Primrose Gem' is one of those useful plants that every gardener should know about.  Ever so neat, this dwarf shrub forms a domed mound of fresh green finely cut leaves above which soft primrose yellow slightly fluffy flowers stand primly on short stalks in late summer. 

Emerging slowly from tight yellow buds in mid summer, the flowers become more luminous as they develop. Delightful during the daytime, they glow gently at dusk - a great choice for a 'moon garden'.  Needing a free-draining soil in full sun to thrive, it also works well in a gravel garden or sunny planter, its evergreen foliage adding structure and texture all year round.  A quick trim after flowering will help maintain its form and density.
