Origanum 'Kent Beauty'
Height x Spread: 10cm x 50cm
This is an aromatic, semi-evergreen subshrub with spreading/trailing stems that produces tiny pink flowers among rosy-pink bracts in Summer. These flowers are very attractive to bees and the leaves are very tasty sprinkled over melted Mozzarella on a freshly baked pizza!
Best placed in alkaline, free-draining soil and full sun. This plant is hardy down to -10 degrees C as long as it is not left sitting in Winter wet.
Ideal for pots and containers, alpine, rockery, coastal, courtyard, gravel, city and Mediterranean gardens, as well as close to the kitchen of any inspired cook.
This plant can, once established, be lifted in spring and divided. Resist the urge to feed it.
Rarely, if ever, troubled by pests or diseases
