Actea simplex Atropurpurea Group
Height x Spread: 150cm x 75cm
Fragrant soft cream flowers like bottle brushes are produced in autumn on this elegant, tall statement plant, which is perfect for the back of a semi-shady border or planted in drifts through a woodland scheme.
The young fern-like foliage starts with a purple hue which changes to dark green on the top and purple on the reverse. It looks beautiful combined with Japanese Anemone for a long lasting late season display. It requires a good soil with a reasonable amount of moisture.
