Alcea ficifolia Yellow
Height x Spread: 120cm x 60cm
Large pale yellow to cream hollyhock flowers are borne on tall elegant stems throughout the summer. This variety is resistant to hollyhock rust and has palmate fig-like leaves.
Originating in Siberia, Alcea ficifolia is more vigorous than the common Hollyhock. It is excellent choice for the middle to back of a mixed herbaceous or cottage garden border, where it will add vertical interest. We like it combined with the dark purple, almost black form of Alcea rosea. It thrives in a good free-draining soil and full sun.
