Alchemilla erythropoda
Height x Spread: 30cm x 20cm
Charming sprays of bright, lime green flowers adorn this little clump-forming plant in summer. Overall very tidy in appearance, it is as much valued for its light green divided leaves that capture rain drops as the delightful flowers.
Like Alchemilla mollis, it can cope with a variety of conditions, but being smaller in scale suits rock gardens and small containers very well. Alternatively use it as neat ground cover or to edge a path, but plant it where you can enjoy its gentle grace. An added bonus is its tawny-orange autumnal foliage. It thrives in most soils and is happy in sun or part-shade.
