Description
Astrantia 'Buckland'
Height x Spread: 60cm x 45cm
This very pretty variety has green and white outer bracts encircling a soft pink inner pincushion.
Its delicate colouration combines beautifully with dark red Astrantia for a cool look, or pinkish-purple Salvia for a warmer tone. These plants are very successful in a moisture retentive soil in part shade or sun, but especially so in clay soils. They make reasonable sized clumps quickly and require splitting quite regularly, say every 3 years. Cuts and dries extremely well for arrangements.
