Bunium ferulaceum
Height x Spread: 60cm x 30cm
Ever so light and airy, the lacy white flowers of this graceful umbellifer dance in the breeze on wiry stems from late spring through summer, before forming attractive seed heads that look lovely touched with frost above its evergreen foliage.
More naturalistic in form than other umbellifers it looks delightful woven through the front of a border especially when mixed with Achillea, Scabiosa and Erigeron plus ornamental grasses such as Stipa. Bees and other pollinators love its nectar-rich flowers too. Easy to grow and evergreen, it loves a sunny position but can cope with light shade too, if planted in a well -drained soil.
