Geranium × johnsonii 'Johnson's Blue'
Height x Spread: 30cm x 60cm
Loads of large, deep lavender blue saucer shaped flowers with grey veins are produced in summer over deeply cut deep green foliage. Dating from the 1950's, this plant's somewhat untidy and informal habit makes excellent and vivid ground cover.
An iconic cottage garden plant, it looks wonderful combined with old roses and other traditional perennials. Trim back after flowering to encourage a second flush of blooms. Good autumn colour. An unfussy plant, it will grow in any moderately rich soil with drainage, in a sunny or partially shade location.
