Geum 'Bell Bank'

'Bell Bank' bears nodding, thimble-shaped coral pink flowers that gently unfold and straighten to reveal frilly semi double flowerheads, which dance above mid-green basal foliage. This dainty but tough hybrid cultivar was raised by Geoffrey Smith in the 1980's.
Widely admired for its graceful and prolific flowering from April to June, it prefers a moist soil which is not waterlogged in winter, harking back to one of its parents Geum rivale. A wonderful colour for the front of a border, its delicacy perfectly lends itself to a cottage garden setting. It grows best in a damp but free-draining soil in either light
