Geum 'Hannay's'
Height x Spread: 30cm x 30cm
This double cultivar boasts outward facing flowers with ruffled orange-flushed-red petals, on short stems over mid-green lobed foliage. Bred by a nursery in Bath called Hannay's, which sadly no longer exists.
It makes a cheerful and floriferous addition to the front of a 'hot' late spring border and really sings out against dark purples. It is an excellent low maintenance plant which only needs regular lifting and division in either late autumn or early spring to encourage vigour. 'Hannay's is an unfussy plant that will thrive in any fertile soil with some drainage in the sun or part shade.
