Ipheion 'Rolf Fiedler'
Height x Spread: 15cm x 30cm
Honey scented, pale blue starry flowers appear on upright stems over onion scented grass-like foliage during late winter and early spring. 'Rolf Fiedler' is a summer deciduous perennial which means it dies back after flowering. But there is no need to worry as the plant will reappear in winter, as long as you remember not to dig it up!
Commonly known as the spring starflower, it is ideal for under-planting shrubs but also looks beautiful showcased in a rockery, alpine trough or gravel garden. It likes a sunny sheltered spot in fertile free-draining soil .
Available for Mail Order from January - March
