Ipheion uniflorum 'Hardy's Hybrid'

'Hardy's Hybrid' has pale lilac blue, honey scented star-shaped flowers in late winter and early spring over blue-green grass-like foliage.
A form of the common spring starflower, 'Hardy's Hybrid' is summer deciduous, meaning that it will die back and disappear over the summer, reappearing the following winter. You just need to remember not to dig it up over the summer.
Starflower is perfect for rock gardens, gravel gardens and containers. You can also use it to edge your borders providing the your soil is fertile and well-drained. To flourish it needs a sunny situation.
