Liriope muscari
Height x Spread: 30cm x 30cm
Commonly known as Big Blue Lily Turf, this perennial forms a clump of dense arching leathery grass-like evergreen foliage. In autumn above the foliage waxy purple flower spikes appear. Sublime flowers are then followed by black berries.
Front of borders, banks and slopes, ground cover or under-planting are just some of the uses for this fantastic plant. Plant in any reasonable soil, a sheltered, shady situation is preferred. During spring cut-back old foliage to the ground to allow new leaves to come through.
