Nepeta Neptune ('Bokratune')
Height x Spread: 30cm x 30cm
This compact, bushy perennial loves full sun and free draining soil. Once established it is relatively drought tolerant and is highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinators. Deer, however, find it utterly uninteresting and will leave it alone.
With a long flowering season, summer through to early autumn, it pays to remove spent flower stems down to the next pair of leaves to encourage more flowers and delay the production of seeds.
If it's kept in soil that drains freely all year, this plant is fully hardy in the U.K.
Ideal for pots and containers, it is also useful for the front of beds and borders, wildlife, and gravel gardens. An ideal companion to lower growing Salvia, Achillea, Echinacea, Gaillardia, Festuca. Coreopsis and Penstemon to name but a few.
