Primula japonica 'Alba'
Height x Spread: 40cm x 30cm
Stunning pure white flowers with a honey-yellow eye appear in tiers on slender upright stems during spring and early summer. The flower stems arise from a rosette of pale green, slightly crinkly leaves at the base of the plant.
'Alba' is perfect for woodland gardens as it thrives in partial shade. It grows well in sunny conditions too, providing the soil is humus-rich and reasonably moist. It is a 'must have' plant for use in bog gardens or planting in swathes along the edges of streams or ponds where it will happily self-seed.
