Acanthophyllum cerastioides 'Border Belle'
Height x Spread: 15cm x 45cm
This cultivar of 'mouse-eared baby's breath' has large, white flowers with a pink tint and purple veins over a spreading mat of mid green spoon-like leaves. A veritable magnet for bees and butterflies.
A compact, low maintenance alpine, it gently creeps, hugging the ground. Pinker in tone than Acanthophyllum cerastoides, plant it where it can thrive and be enjoyed, such as the front of a border or framed in a rock garden. In sheltered areas, away from very cold winds, it also makes an interesting trough or container plant. For the best results, grow it in full sun in a normal to free draining soil.
Available for Mail Order from April - August
