Gypsophila 'Rosenschleier'
Height x Spread: 20cm x 45cm
This compact form of 'baby breath' produces a gently sprawling mass of pale pink semi double flowers over a mat of narrow greyish green foliage. Cut back hard to the ground after its first flush of flowers has finished, to encourage a second.
In full flower it can resemble low-lying candy floss and looks amazing in a gravel or rock garden. Alternatively plant it at the front of a sunny cottage garden border to draw the eye and blur hard edges. 'Rosenschleier' will perform best in full sun in a light, deep, alkaline to neutral soil that is free draining, but can tolerate a damper soil.
