Primula x bulleesiana
Height x Spread: 45cm x 30cm
Primula x bulleesiana comes from a cross between Primula beesiana and Primula bulleyana. Whorls of flowers appear in tiers around slender stems above the dark green foliage which forms a tidy basal rosette. P x bulleesiana flowers in a range of different colours - orange, yellow or mauve - could appear, it really is pot luck.
Damp soils are preferred, so a position alongside watercourses or ponds or in boggy soils is perfect for this perennial. It is great for deciduous woodlands as it thrives in partial shade as well as a sunny situation, and makes superb underplanting.
