Rodgersia podophylla
Height x Spread: 100cm x 100cm
Impressive clumps of coarsely toothed palmate leaves emerge during the spring, initially they are a rich bronze colour, turning to green later in the season. This native to Japan and Korea is commonly known as Rodgers Bronze Leaf. During the summer white Astilbe-like flower spikes appear.
A fantastic architectural plant, which provides interest across multiple seasons, perfect for damp, partially shady borders and beds. Rodgersia podophylla thrives when planted alongside watercourses or ponds and in bog gardens. Too much sun will cause the foliage to scorch.
